RTK: fixed, float, and standalone
The Lab 2 receiver reports standalone, RTK float, or RTK fixed solutions. This page simulates all three for the same 5 minutes so you can compare them side by side, and tell precision (how tight the cloud is) from accuracy (how close its center is to the truth).

All three solutions are simulated for the same 5 minutes, one point per second.
Try this
- With Standing still and Fit, compare the dashed circles (precision) with the solid lines from the cross (accuracy). They are different numbers, and the lab grades them separately.
- Switch to 1 m box, then 10 cm box. RTK float lives at decimeters, RTK fixed at centimeters.
- Switch to Trees and buildings. Standalone gets worse and moves off center, and RTK fixed is lost most of the time. This is your occluded outing.
- Press New 5-minute run a few times. The standalone center jumps around because its error wanders slowly: 5 minutes of data is not enough to average it away.
Notebook
Work with the same script in cells, like Jupyter, right here in the browser. Edit any cell and run it. Nothing is saved: Reset brings a cell back, and Download .ipynb keeps your edited version for VS Code or Jupyter.
